My Journey into Yoga! Where it all started....

Real talk. I discovered yoga when I was the most unhappy with my life.

I was doing all the things I thought I was supposed to do to be happy. I climbed the corporate ladder, I had a good salary, I was in a relationship, and to the outside world, it did look like I was finding success and happiness. But deep inside I knew that something was missing ...

The truth is I didn’t feel successful, fulfilled, and I certainly wasn’t happy. In fact, I was lost. I’m nervous to admit I dreaded waking up in the morning, nitpicking every single thing about myself. My days were just monotonous - clock in and clock out. I searched for happiness in other people, in different hobbies, mistakenly waiting for them to make me happy and give my life a purpose.

But my life changed 360 degrees just when I thought I couldn’t take it anymore. One afternoon on my way home I blindly decided to sign up for a yoga class in my neighborhood. Let me tell you: it didn’t go well. As a newbie in the yoga world, I felt vulnerable and uncomfortable. My body was in so much pain, I almost left the class in tears. However, something inside of me started shifting, and although I couldn’t tell what was happening to me at that time, I braved it out and came back for another yoga class. And another one, and another one after that ...

With every class that I took, I felt that I was becoming stronger, more resilient, more solid and robust. I also became more honest with myself. I learned to listen to not only my physical body but my inner self. What surprised me, even more, was the fact that the transformation didn’t stop at the yoga mat. Like ripples on a pond, positive changes spilled outside of a yoga class and into my life.

I quit my full-time job, left an emotionally-draining and dull relationship, and started my life afresh. Moreover, I learned how to deal with unwanted people and bitter situations in my life that would weigh me down. Instead, I focused on exploring my full potential and becoming the best version of myself. I studied nutrition and transformed my body and mind, focusing on what my soul truly desired. Most importantly, I found my passion! I became alive. And you can do it, too.

Look – I’m not saying it was easy. Everything that I learned, I gained it through little steps. My true journey has only begun, and I want to share it with you and show YOU what’s possible with a little hard work, and a lot of getting out of your own way. It’s time to stop wasting a lot of time standing on the sidelines and regain control over your own life. You CAN have a satisfying relationship, a job of your dreams, AND a radically fulfilling life - all through the practice of yoga. All you need is a mat and an hour a day to uncover the happiness within.
